To help support our efforts and expand our facility and services we have held a “Derby Day Run for the Roses” fundraiser for over 20 years on the first Saturday in May at the WV State Fair Grounds.
Every year an average of 500 participants and many local businesses support our efforts to help Gateway fulfill its mission to provide employment, training, and services as well as maintain a thriving business in the community.

Make a Donation for the Silent Auction Donation
Each year Derby Day continues to grow in popularity and support; the event is filled with excitement, great food and live music. Attendees enjoy a silent auction where all have a chance to bid on some fabulous items, while watching the Kentucky Derby on large screen TVs throughout.
In true tradition of the Kentucky Derby, there is a most spectacular Hat contest with prizes for the winners. There are door prizes galore and other activities to round out the day having fun while knowing that you are helping support a very worthwhile cause.
Tickets include all the delicious food and beverages you can eat and drink. Derby Day tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.
